Top Deck.

In my last post I listed the steps that needed to be taken to put the top deck. I completed items 1-4 in my last post and in this post I will complete items 5-8 as listed below.  Once completed, another scarf joint will need to be sanded and glued. The underside of the deck will then need to be coated with epoxy to seal it, and then the hull can be completed.

  1. Add top stringers
  2. Attach support blocks and mast step support
  3. Add breather hole supports
  4. Plane sides and level surface
  5. Attach Pintiles
  6. Attach and bolt chain plate
  7. Coat inside with epoxy to seal wood
  8. Mark out document and measure where all supports are so that you remember where to attach hardware once the top is on
